Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Illinois is hiring Team Members for evening and night shifts starting after 4pm. You will greet customers, take orders, assemble sandwiches, and keep the shop clean while delivering a fast, friendly, and consistent dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset for a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment.
• Able to manage multiple allergen items (peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood).
• Illinois employees must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple stations as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc. efficiently.
• If 18 or older, operate the slicer to prep items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Handle cash register, balance, and follow cash procedures.
• Address customer complaints/issues.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
