Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process. The role requires current MA nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS, with a BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, coordinating care plans, discharge planning, and supervising care within the assigned unit. The position is full-time with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends as described.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN, ACLS certification current or unit-specific certifications.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Equivalency of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to competency and job description.
