Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care in the 6 East unit, applying the Nursing Process from admission to discharge with a focus on assessment and discharge planning.

The position requires MA RN licensure and BLS, with a strong nursing knowledge base. This full-time evening shift offers competitive compensation and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN, in addition to unit-specific certifications.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others based on job description and competency.
