Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for direct patient care across the patient care continuum. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and discharge planning, following the nursing process and unit standards.

The position is non-exempt, full-time with an evening shift and a 40-hour schedule. A MA nursing license is required, BLS is mandatory unless ACLS is current; BSN is highly preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package and union support.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required for all RNs unless ACLS certification is current.
• Unit-specific certifications and competencies may apply.
• BSN degree is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for direct patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and develops plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately according to job description and competency level.
