Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a quality-focused inspector for the Pontiac, MI facility. You will perform initial visual inspections of metal stampings and ensure correct packaging to meet customer requirements.

The role involves data entry in the Plex system, following JES specifications, and supporting production to maintain workflow and schedules. This position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, basic English skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; read, write, and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Six-month manufacturing experience preferred; demonstrates reliable performance.
• Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
• Thorough, accurate, and reliable in performing tasks; demonstrates integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual quality inspections of metal parts and packaging per instructions.
• Reference production orders in Plex to weld product per JES.
• Lift and move parts up to 60 pounds with help as needed.
• Carry out packing, labeling, and storage per customer requirements.
