Job summary

Pennex in Leetonia, OH is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage customer service, transportation, and contract administration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include planning and controlling shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, resolving delays, and preparing dispatch sheets and invoices.

A bachelor's degree is preferred, and candidates should have three years of related experience; the 2pm–10pm shift is required, with occasional flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of related transportation and customer service experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control and implement processes relating to materials through the facility to outside processors and customers.
• Lead regular status meetings to communicate with customers, suppliers, and carriers.
• Address shipment delays and issues promptly with customers.
• Apply customer service skills to maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
• Manage shipments to meet customer demand and monitor pickups/deliveries.
• Create documentation (dispatch sheets, packing lists, customs invoices).
• Work with supply chain to manage inventory and create shipments via portal.
• Maintain carrier relationships and monitor performance.
• Regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
