Responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate freight rates to move shipments promptly and cost-effectively.
• Monitor outbound shipments to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Communicate issues, delays, or budget constraints with the sales team.
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy.
• Prepare Bill of Ladings and send final shipping documents to billing.
• Develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient.
• Enter receivers/manifests of material from steel mills via Rail or Truck.
• Maintain a shipping schedule showing daily sales/billing shipments.
• Read and understand material certifications.
• Manage traffic flow through the warehouse.
