United Parcel Service, Inc. seeks a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Edison, New Jersey.

You will service a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems where applicable. You will troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls to ensure peak performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Automotive Mechanic experience with diesel and gas heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Willingness to obtain CDL if not currently held within 3 months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Meets D.O.T requirements as required by job assignment.
• Perform maintenance on a range of vehicles including delivery trucks, tractors and trailers.
• Use standard and pneumatic tools to service engines, brakes and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on the fleet maintenance shop floor.
