UPS Edison, NJ is seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will service a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty tractors, and trailers, with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems.

You will diagnose and repair hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls while adhering to DOT requirements. We offer weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifikationen

• Active driver’s license issued by the state.
• 21 years or older.
• Shift 1:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
• Have the required hand tools for the job.
• CDL Class A or B preferred; willing to obtain within 3 months.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Five years of automotive mechanic experience with diesel and gas heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and PC.

Aufgaben

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently during workday.
• Sits infrequently as required.
• Manipulates tools and parts with precision to complete tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
