Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is seeking a Swing Shift Shelter Generalist in Olympia. The role focuses on supervising and supporting guests, managing behavior, coordinating services, and maintaining a safe, clean shelter environment.

You will work with CCS staff and partner agencies to connect residents with resources. The position offers benefits, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with computers for documentation and data entry.
• Ability to pass required background checks and TB test.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor front gate traffic and respond to disruptive behavior.
• Provide behavioral management and support for a diverse population.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the site and surrounding areas.
• Log records, incident reports, and HMIS data entries.
• Coordinate with CCS staff and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain daily program schedules and assist with janitorial duties.
