Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • 1 year of experience working with people experiencing mental health concerns, substance use, housing insecurities, or lived experience.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software, including database programs.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends as needed and be flexible to meet shelter needs.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of current registration and insurance coverage to attend off-site meetings and travel between locations.
  • ServSafe Certification, or ability to obtain.
  • Mental Health First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain.
  • Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with participants, volunteers, and staff professionally.
  • Assist with orientation and welcome participants in the residential setting, providing guidelines and ensuring adherence to rules.
  • Cross-train in Residential Team Member duties and provide coverage for others as assigned.
  • Support daily Shelter operations including laundry, food, maintenance, cleaning, and perimeter checks.
  • Complete required paperwork and data entry for shifts, and maintain accurate logs.
