Job summary

L.L.Bean is seeking a 2nd shift Security Officer to join our Security Team in Freeport, ME. This temporary position runs weekend shifts from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, offering competitive pay, night shift premium, excellent benefits, and an employee discount.

You will protect employees, facilities and assets, enforce safety rules, monitor access, conduct patrols, respond to emergencies, and support operations across LL Bean properties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years experience; military or first responder experiences preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient with SharePoint, OneNote, Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong writing, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts and handle stressful situations.
• Familiarity with MOAB techniques.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergencies and life/safety situations as directed by management and Central Security.
• Assumes responsibility and control of on-site emergencies until relieved.
• Performs security duties, including metal detectors, bag checks, and access control.
• Conducts patrols and building tours to identify risks and ensure safety.
• Support Retail during disruptive incidents and apprehensions.
• Operate and maintain air-sampling equipment and monitor permits.
• Create incident reports using ThinkLP and maintain logs.
