Job summary

L.L.Bean is hiring a Temporary General Maintenance Technician - Grounds (1st Shift) to join our Facilities team in Freeport, Maine. The role involves preventive maintenance, building and grounds care, and operation of basic tools and equipment on a daytime schedule.

You will participate in snow and landscape duties, perform routine repairs, and support facilities projects across the campus. Training and safety requirements apply, with a culture focused on a safe, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Must be able to operate basic power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance on building components (doors, windows, ceilings, floors).
• Install fixtures and accessories (bulletin boards, screens, cabinets).
• Assist in constructing items (tables, barricades, sawhorses).
• Assist with snow removal and grounds tasks as needed.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs via Service Channel.
