Job summary

L.L.Bean is seeking a 2nd shift Security Officer in Freeport, ME. The role involves protecting employees, facilities, and assets, monitoring access, patrolling, and responding to emergencies.

You’ll operate security equipment, generate incident reports, and support events with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. This temporary position runs 1:30 PM–9:30 PM weekends, with night shift premium pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; two-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience; military/first responder preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record for last 3–5 years; able to operate company vehicles.
• Background check required; strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations calmly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and life/safety situations.
• Direct evacuations and manage on-site emergency operations.
• Conduct bag checks, monitor cameras, and control access.
• Perform patrols, property inspections and security patrols.
• Create incident reports and maintain daily station logs.
• Provide security during events and support to Retail as needed.
• Park/vehicle inspections and vehicle operation as required.
