Job summary

Windsor Public Schools is seeking a Custodian/Maintenance worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across district facilities. The role includes cleaning rooms, securing buildings, and assisting with deliveries and event setup.

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a Connecticut driver license or reliable transportation, and the ability to read and follow work orders. Shifts are generally evenings, with exposure to cleaning chemicals and outdoor weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Connecticut Driver's license or reliable transportation.
• Experience in building cleaning maintenance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure buildings at start/end of shift.
• Clean rooms, floors, restrooms and offices.
• Set up and break down chairs and equipment for events.
• Clear snow and spread ice melting agents.
• Assist in deliveries and stockroom organization.
• Follow safety rules and MSDS guidelines.
