Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking a Custodian at Eastmark High School to ensure cleaning standards across common spaces and athletic facilities. The role covers an 40-hour week in the evening schedule, with responsibilities including floor care, bathroom sanitation, and facility upkeep.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Arizona driver's license
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs, exert 50-60 lbs of force frequently
• Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel
• Working may involve a late night shift until about 11 pm during the school year
• Operate mechanical cleaning equipment as well as floor cleaning equipment
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Establish and maintain working relations with janitorial site lead and fellow workers
• Must pass a background clearance
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

• Dust mop, sweep, and wet mop hard surface floors.
• Vacuum clean rugs and carpets.
• Scrub and clean bathroom fixtures and keep supplied.
• Clean walls, doors, windows, and woodwork.
• Clean elevators and stairwells.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Notify janitorial site lead of equipment and facilities needing repairs or replacement.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture and countertops.
• Be flexible
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities
