Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean and secure school environment. This role requires evening schedule work and a commitment to safety and cleanliness across classrooms, offices, and common areas.

The custodian will vacuum, sweep and mop floors, manage supplies, and assist with building access and events. Previous cleaning or minor maintenance experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months cleaning or minor maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and vacuum classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, storage areas and lounges.
• Sweep and mop floors; dispose of trash; clean furniture and fixtures; replace supplies.
• Assist in cafeteria and opening building, disarming alarms, and setting up traffic control.
• May perform minor maintenance and repair on buildings, fixtures, grounds and equipment.
• Transport equipment and set up rooms for meetings and events.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
