Job summary

North Middlesex Regional School District in Townsend, Massachusetts seeks a Full-Time Second Shift Custodian to support daily cleaning and maintenance of district facilities. Starting date is immediate; CORI background checks and basic custodial experience preferred. Appointment contingent on successful background checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic custodial experience.
• Ability to use various cleaning products and equipment, both powered and non-powered.
• Ability to meet the requirements of the essential functions of the position.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable by School Committee or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the district's Mission, Vision, Goals and Values to students, parents and community.
• Upholds district policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Demonstrates concern for safety and welfare of self, students and coworkers; uses PPE as needed.
• Cooperates with custodians, day lead, teachers and building staff to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Follow work schedule and perform regular cleaning duties (mop, vacuum, bathrooms, dusting, wastebaskets, windows, spills, stripping/waxing).
• Winter maintenance including snow removal and sanding/salting.
• Take direction from principal/Director as needed.
