Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.
• Driver's license is required.
• Preferred: prior experience as a school custodian or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Shovels and sands walks, driveways, and steps as needed.
• Checks daily that exit doors are open and panic bolts work during occupancy.
• Raises and lowers the U.S. flag at appropriate times.
• Sweeps classrooms and dusts furniture and chalkboards.
• Vacuums rugs and cleans corridors after school.
• Disinfects toilet floors and cleans fixtures daily.
• Cleans woodwork, walls, and windows inside and outside.
• Remains on site during school hours and after hours as required.
• Open/close building daily and ensure doors/windows are secured.
