Job summary

St. Catherine's High School, part of Siena Catholic Schools of Racine, is seeking a reliable custodian for 2nd shift, with a pattern of 2nd shift during school sessions and 1st shift during breaks.

Responsibilities include cleaning, light maintenance, and securing the building to ensure a safe learning environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of building services experience; willing to work evenings, weekends, and possibly travel between Siena

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of building services/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning techniques and safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs custodial tasks in classrooms, hallways, lobbies, washrooms, offices, cafeterias, gyms, entrances and other areas according to a regular schedule and with minimum supervision.
• Move furniture or equipment within buildings, as required, for various activities and as directed by the principal or head custodian.
• Assists in the preparation for school activities and events including set-up and take down, and the disposal of all trash.
• Shovels ice and snow during the winter season and performs general grounds care.
• Secures the building daily and activates/deactivates security alarms as needed.
