Job summary

The Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a Second Shift Custodian Lead to supervise the custodial team for evening operations. This full-time role runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, year-round, with benefits, paid time off, and paid vacation.

The position oversees setup for events, trains staff, performs routine cleaning, and coordinates with the maintenance department on larger projects. A high school diploma and a Certified Pool Operator certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with custodial experience and supervisory responsibilities.
• Certified Pool Operator certification is required at Senior High School.
• Must possess clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial team including substitutes and weekend workers.
• Coordinate setup for programs and events, manage calendar and user needs.
• Train new employees in equipment operation and custodial tasks.
• Perform general custodial duties across facilities.
• Respond to requests from principals, teachers, and facility users.
• Maintain building grounds and secure doors/windows.
