Job summary

Otsego Public Schools Inc. at Otsego High School is seeking a Custodial staff member for the 2nd shift (2:00–10:30 p.m.), Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Starting in the 2026-27 school year, duties include cleaning across classrooms, restrooms, and hallways to maintain a clean and safe school environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a background check upon hire, and custodial experience preferred. This is a union-aware posting within a public school district.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire.
• Experience with cleaning and custodial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily classroom cleaning, including emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, spot mopping and locking of doors and windows.
• Daily restroom cleaning, including disinfecting all fixtures, emptying trash, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
• Daily hallway cleaning, including picking up trash, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
