Job summary

Allegan Area ESA is seeking a Custodian for the 2nd shift (split between OMS and OHS) to perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in school facilities. This full-time role offers a 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. schedule, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a background check upon hire, and prior custodial experience. Duties include classroom, restroom, and hallway cleaning, trash removal, and securing doors and windows.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire.
• Experience with cleaning and custodial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily classroom cleaning, including emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, spot mopping and locking of doors and windows.
• Daily restroom cleaning, including disinfecting all fixtures, emptying trash, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
• Daily hallway cleaning, including picking up trash, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
