Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking an RN Evening Shift Supervisor to provide clinical leadership for the nursing team during the evening hours. You will oversee staffing, coordinate resident care, and ensure clear communication among residents, families, physicians, and nursing leadership.

The role emphasizes leadership, clinical judgment, and the responsibility of serving as the primary nursing leadership presence on evenings across the campus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state providing resident care.
• Two to four years' supervisory experience in a geriatric long term care facility.
• Strong communication, judgment and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the nursing team on evenings.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage, including replacement of call-offs.
• Coordinate communication between residents, families, physicians, and nursing leadership.
• Oversee preparation of residents' charts for physician visits and track care plans.
• Monitor resident health problems and communicate findings to physicians for follow-up.
• Supervise orientation of new nursing personnel on the assigned shift.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Act as liaison between residents, families and physicians to educate and support care plans.
