Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking an evening shift Registered Nurse to oversee the direct delivery of resident care and administer prescribed medications. The role requires careful adherence to nursing techniques and participation in care planning.

Key duties include supervising Nursing Assistants, transcribing physician orders, and supporting admissions and discharges. This position emphasizes confidentiality and prompt response to emergencies within the retirement community.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn frequently throughout the course of an eight hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides, monitors and evaluates the delivery of care.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders and assists with physician visits.
• Participates in resident care planning.
• Assists with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
