Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a dedicated LPN for the night shift. You will administer medications, maintain care records, and support daily care planning to ensure high-quality resident care.

As a leader on the team, you will delegate tasks to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides, monitor care delivery, and respond to residents' physical and psychological needs with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds during shifts as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move during an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to push a med cart and follow safety protocols.
• Ability to react quickly in emergencies and in resident needs.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Maintains accurate and descriptive records of resident care.
• Assigns daily care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides and monitors delivery of care.
• Transcribes and carries out physicians' orders and assists with visits.
• Participates in resident care planning and evaluation.
• Monitors physical and psychological needs of residents and responds appropriately.
• Assists with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Assists in managing Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Contributes to direct resident care as time allows and supports physician orders.
• Handles confidential information about residents and staff per policy.
