Job summary

Homewood Living Plum Creek in Hanover, PA is seeking an RN Evening Shift Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversee the nursing team during the evening hours. The role ensures appropriate staffing, supports staff in delivering quality care, and coordinates communication with residents, families, physicians, and nursing leadership.

This position emphasizes patient safety, chart accuracy, and adherence to policies while guiding the team through evening operations and nursing care

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state providing resident care.
• Two to four years' supervisory experience, preferably in a geriatric long-term care facility.
• Ability to communicate to residents, family and staff at a level they can understand.
• Must be able to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and in unexpected behavior of residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversees appropriate staffing to provide proper care and cover call-offs during duty.
• Works with attending physicians and oversees preparation of residents' charts.
• Monitors resident health problems and coordinates follow-up with the physician.
• Maintains confidential handling of resident and personnel information.
• Provides overall supervision to nursing personnel and ensures proper chain of command.
