Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a Part-time LPN to support the well-being of residents on the Day Shift in Frederick, MD. You will administer medications, maintain detailed care records, and collaborate with Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides to ensure quality care.

You will participate in care planning, assess residents’ needs, and respond with professional, empathetic nursing practice while upholding confidentiality and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state you will be providing care.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently during an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting with resident transfers.
• Ability to push a med cart and dispense medications.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies and to follow physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing technique.
• Maintains accurate and descriptive records of care provided.
• Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders and assists with visits.
• Participates in resident care planning.
• Evaluates residents' physical and psychological needs and responds appropriately.
• Assists with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Assists in managing Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Contributes to direct resident care as time allows.
• Abides by confidentiality and organizational policies.
