Job summary

The Greens at Hickory in Hickory, NC is seeking an RN Second Shift Supervisor to lead our clinical team on the evening shift and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will oversee nursing operations, mentor RNs/LPNs/CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain detailed clinical documentation while fostering a collaborative, resident-centered culture. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus of $12,000 and opportunities for growth in a trusted long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current, active NC or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations during second shift.
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to clinical concerns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Conduct shift reports and facilitate cross-department communication.
• Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Investigate incidents, resident concerns, and changes in condition.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a resident-centered culture.
