Job summary

The Greens at Hickory in Hickory, NC is seeking an RN Second Shift Supervisor to lead the evening nursing team and ensure exceptional resident care. You will oversee RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, support regulatory compliance, and maintain high clinical standards on the second shift.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina or Compact State RN License
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations during second shift
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care
• Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
• Conduct shift reports and facilitate communication between departments and shifts
• Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance improvement initiatives
• Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Investigate and report incidents, resident concerns, and changes in condition
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a resident-centered culture
