Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an experienced RN for Post Surgical Medicine at United Hospital. The role involves caring for patients recovering from surgeries, collaborating with care managers and nursing staff, and following a thorough orientation.

The position requires at least an associate degree in nursing, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. BLS is required, and ACLS/ALS certification is preferred depending on site. This is an on-site role with evening shifts and every-other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in MN or WI upon hire depending on site.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross or in-house training within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certifications preferred per site requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patient care needs with an established plan of care.
• Coordinate and delegate to ensure safe, effective nursing care.
• Supervise unit staff and participate in charge/preceptor roles as assigned.
• Maintain competencies and adhere to evidence-based nursing practices.
• Fulfills organizational requirements and fosters team collaboration.
