Job summary

State of Iowa - Executive Branch is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate health services for patients and staff. The role includes performing health appraisals, conducting health clinics, and making necessary referrals within DOC policy.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in emergency drills, and assume weekend/holiday responsibilities while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Iowa or with Nurse Licensure Compact license.
• Compact license holders must obtain Iowa license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services to patients following DOC policies and standards.
• Complete health appraisals on admission and periodically for patients and staff.
• Conduct health clinics and identify medical, mental health, and dental issues for referrals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency health care.
