Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Department Manager to lead a store department with a focus on performance, service, and merchandising excellence. You will manage staff, training, and development while upholding safety and quality standards, ensuring accurate records and efficient operations.

You will hire and guide associates, drive financial objectives, and maintain product knowledge and effective scheduling to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated good judgement solving problems and making decisions.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• College degree or equivalent preferred; Food Safety certification within 90 days.
