Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care with professional independence in a busy department. The role requires an AS in Respiratory Care, NBRC RRT, MA license, and current BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS are required within three months of employment.

The position supports evidence-based practice across diverse patient populations. The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes,

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate of Science in Respiratory Care and NBRC RRT credential.
• Current Massachusetts State Respiratory Care license is required.
• CPR/BLS is required; ACLS, NRP, and PALS are required within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with arterial blood gas analysis and aerosolized medications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Review electronic medical records for history, reason for admission, and current orders.
• Administer aerosolized medications and manage patient therapies.
