Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide all aspects of respiratory care with independent practice in a team-based environment. The role supports patient care across assigned areas in compliance with department policies and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities include medication delivery, ABG analysis, and collaboration with physicians to optimize therapy. Requires RRT, state license, and multiple certifications; signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• AS in Respiratory Care required.
• Current NBRC-credential: RRT.
• Massachusetts State Respiratory Care License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required or to be obtained within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Review patient records and orders for appropriate history and data.
• Administer aerosolized medications.
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases and report critical values.
• Consult with physicians to adjust therapy and communicate recommendations.
