UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Respiratory Therapist to support the Respiratory Care Department. The incumbent administers respiratory modalities, monitors ventilated patients, and collaborates with physicians and anesthesia during procedures.

Required qualifications include NBRC RRT, an associate degree in Respiratory Care, MA license within 2 months of hire, and BLS; Pediatric/NICU experience and ACLS/PALS are preferred. Cross-campus work and major/minor holidays apply.

Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Active MA license within 2 months of hire as a condition of employment.
• Current BLS/Basic Life Support certification and Neonatal Resuscitation required.
• CC experience and ability to work across campuses preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and support patients on mechanical ventilation and provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
• Assist during intubations and bronchoscopies, under physician guidance.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans per department protocols for bronchodilator therapy.
• Obtain arterial blood gases and draw blood for gas analysis.
• Set up and monitor ventilators and oxygen delivery equipment during procedures.
