Job summary

MercyFirst in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an After-Hours Supervisor to oversee after-hours programming and residential services for youth. You will supervise Youth Support Counselors across four sites and ensure reporting and documentation of critical incidents.

You will coordinate emergencies, support crisis management, and help with admissions/discharges, fire drills, and coordination with clinical staff during your shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in residential programming administration.
• Excellent Leadership, Organizational, Supervision, Communication and Analytical skills.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License, satisfactory driving record and ability to travel in and around the Long Island region.
• Schedule will include evenings/weekend hours. After-Hour Supervisors will also need to obtain appropriate FDNY Certificate of Fitness for Fire Drills.

Responsibilities

• The After-Hours Supervisor will report directly to the Director of NYC Residential Services and provide after-hours supervision to the four sites.
• The After-Hours Supervisor will be responsible for continuous monitoring of video camera surveillance in the programs.
• Provide crisis management guidance to staff at the NYC residential locations.
• Facilitate fire/evacuation drills for residential locations.
• Serves as administrative contact for legal guardians, law enforcement, governmental agencies, hospital, etc. during off-peak hours.
• Manage and report all emergency and safety concerns to program leadership and interagency departments.
• This individual will be responsible for coordination with the clinical department for all clinical assessments needed during their shift.
• The After-Hours Supervisor will also be the point person for directing transportation and unit staff as needed and documentation of all critical incidents.
