Job summary

Victory Programs in Dorchester, MA is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct care and support to residents at Shepherd House. The role reports to the Program Director and includes medication assistance, group facilitation, and referrals, with a focus on compassionate, trauma-informed care.

The position runs 25 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 6pm–11pm, on site. The team emphasizes standards of excellence, confidentiality, and collaborative care for women in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a professional team.
• Ability to engage with clients in an instructive, directive, and compassionate manner.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire)
• Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire)
• Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Provide quality, empathetic customer service to the clients.
• Ensure medication self-administration policies are followed.
• Maintain medication documentation, including counting and signing off.
• Provide milieu coverage and rounds; answer phones/front door; other duties as assigned.
• Ensure a safe, clean residential environment and report facility concerns.
• Input client/program data in Electronic Health Records.
• Facilitate and/or co-facilitate client groups and complete documentation.
• Provide referrals as needed.
