Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County in Brick, New Jersey seeks an experienced residential professional to guide evening operations and support Direct Support Professionals.

As Assistant Residential Manager, you will coordinate staffing, ensure quality, and help individuals receive consistent, person-centered services in a home setting. This full-time leadership role offers paid training and a starting pay of $25.00 per hour with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years supporting individuals with IDD in residential settings.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with limited points.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work flexible evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guide Direct Support Professionals with practical guidance and coaching throughout shifts.
• Coordinate staffing assignments and maintain appropriate coverage.
• Address routine challenges with clear direction and support.
• Lead operational tasks when the Residential Program Manager is unavailable.
• Monitor individual goals and support independence within the home.
• Ensure records, health-related documentation, and regulatory readiness.
