Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an Assistant Residential Manager (Assistant Group Home Manager) in Toms River, NJ. This full-time role focuses on leading a residential program for adults with IDD, supervising Direct Support Professionals, and coordinating evening operations.

You will work with the Residential Program Manager to maintain a safe, compliant, and person-centered home while supporting individuals toward greater independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the residential team and oversee daily operations.
• Supervise, mentor, and support Direct Support Professionals during evening and weekend shifts.
• Assist with new employee orientations and required staff training.
• Coordinate staff schedules and secure shift coverage for adequate staffing.
• Monitor documentation, medical appointments, and regulatory compliance.
