Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced residential professional to help guide evening operations at a group home serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Brick, New Jersey. As Assistant Residential Manager, you\'ll supervise Direct Support Professionals, coordinate the needs of the home, and ensure individuals receive consistent, person-centered services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with no more than five points.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships while leading a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and adjust schedules when operational needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Support Professionals with practical guidance, coaching, and ongoing assistance throughout their workday.
• Help organize staffing assignments and maintain appropriate coverage within the residential program.
• Respond to routine workplace challenges and provide clear direction to employees.
• Take on operational leadership responsibilities when the Residential Program Manager is unavailable.
• Assist with household purchasing, monitor supplies, and help track program budgets.
