Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant in Des Peres, MO to support residents with daily activities, personal care, and companionship in a warm, respectful community. You will work with the care team to monitor health indicators, assist with meals, mobility, and activities, and help residents maintain dignity and independence.

The role requires clear communication with residents, families, and staff, adherence to safety and infection-control guidelines, and participation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition).
• Respond to signal lights and intercom to determine needs proactively.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, turning, and repositioning.
• Change bed linens, run errands, direct visitors, and answer calls.
• Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties.
• Help with meals and dining room assistance.
• Encourage participation in activities and social engagement.
• Communicate observations to the care team promptly.
• Follow residents' advance directives and care wishes.
• Communicate with families about residents' care.
