Job summary

Great Lakes Management (GLM) is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on physical and emotional support to residents in our Minnetonka community. You will assist with ADLs, communicate with residents and families, and coordinate with the care team to follow each resident’s service plan.

This role includes helping in the dining room, participating in activities, documenting daily notes, and maintaining a respectful, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs per their individualized service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance and engagement.
• Complete daily documentation, service schedule, and flow sheet.

Education

Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
