Job summary

El Puente is seeking a dynamic Evening Coordinator to support evening programming and operations at one of its Youth Leadership Centers in Brooklyn. You will help create a welcoming, active environment for youth, families, and community partners, coordinating activities, attendance, and space usage.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will collaborate with staff and co-locators, engage with participants through intergenerational programming, and help ensure safe, organized evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth development or community programming.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with youth, families, and diverse community members.
• Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends.
• Commitment to El Puente’s mission and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day flow of evening programming, including intake and attendance.
• Maintain program records and partner documentation.
• Support outreach, enrollment, orientations, and admin follow-up.
• Facilitate intergenerational activities and manage events.
• Ensure safe, welcoming, clean site environment and handle light setup.
• Respond to issues and assist with safety training as needed.
