Job summary

El Puente is seeking an Evening Coordinator to support evening programming and operations at one of its Youth Leadership Centers in Brooklyn. You will oversee program and site operations, coordinate attendance, enrollment, space usage, and communication with staff and partners.

This role requires strong organizational skills, comfort working with youth, families, and community members, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth development or community programming.
• Proven ability to coordinate programs, activities, and events.
• Strong organizational skills and record-keeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience working with youth, families, and diverse community members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day flow of evening programming, attendance, and space usage.
• Maintain program records and documentation for evening activities.
• Communicate with the Program Director about updates and site needs.
• Support outreach and enrollment efforts with local schools and community groups.
• Facilitate intergenerational, recreational, educational, and community activities.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, clean, and organized evening environment.
• Assist with setup, materials, and light physical tasks; troubleshoot issues.
• Complete required safety and emergency-response training, including CPR.
