Phipps Neighborhoods is seeking a PT Evening Program Coordinator for the Sotomayor Cornerstone site in New York. The role focuses on developing an engaging evening program that blends academic enrichment, project-based learning, arts, and physical education for youth.

Under the Site Director, you will lead groups, manage logistics, mentor staff, and collaborate with families to meet students' needs. This position is part-time and involves some weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required (some college credits preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office applications and electronic communication tools.

Responsibilities

With the Site Director's support, design and support an evening/weekend program for all participants; plan and implement themes and activities.
Coordinate and coach group leaders and junior group leaders.
Organize program logistics: schedules, space reservations, resources, etc.
Some weekend work for special events or meetings may be required.
Foster a strong sense of community with respect, high expectations, and collaboration.
Coordinate a team of Group Leaders for cohorts and shared goals.
Align with Site Director to maintain a consistent program vision and community impact.
Engage with families to ensure students' needs are met and communicate progress.
Assist in creating a monthly family/school newsletter.
