East Side House Settlement in the South Bronx seeks a dynamic Group Leader to design and lead enrichment activities for middle school, high school, and adults at the Mott Haven Community Center. Under the Program Director, you will collaborate with specialists, create thematic lesson plans, supervise participants, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment after school and in evening programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Experience with middle/high school and adults in diverse urban setting.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment; ability to work in a team.
• Bilingual is a plus; foreign languages encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead age-appropriate enrichment activities.
• Collaborate with specialists and support activity implementation.
• Prepare a welcoming, organized learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with youth and adults as role models.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants.
• Assist enrollment, attendance records and required documents.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and supplies daily.
