Job summary

Sysco FreshPoint Mid-Atlantic in Laurel, MD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of equipment technicians. You will develop and execute preventive maintenance programs, manage safety compliance, and coordinate repair and calibration of production equipment to maximize uptime.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of OSHA and food safety regulations, experience with CMMS, and the ability to work 1:00 PM–9:30 PM. A two-year technical degree is preferred, HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Five or more years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong preventive maintenance development experience; reliability centered maintenance preferred.
• Experience with lockout/tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA etc.
• Develop and maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment safety and performance.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, training and coaching to maintenance staff.
• Identify training needs and implement programs including RCA/FMA and predictive maintenance.
• Plan and oversee equipment rebuilds, moves, installations and calibrations.
• Maintain shift communication and keep all team members aligned on goals.
• Gather and communicate maintenance metrics such as uptime and PM compliance.
• Maintain inventories and ensure on-site spare parts availability.
