Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Production Technician III to plan and perform diversified maintenance duties across production equipment, ensuring uptime, safety, and performance. The role emphasizes 5S and Lean practices, equipment inspections, line moves, and calibration, with strict adherence to USDA/FDA/SQF standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills, plus experience logging work orders and guiding junior team members.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience using lockout tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined spaces, etc.
• Experience in a food processing environment with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive/predictive maintenance on production and process utility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; perform facility repairs as needed.
• Lead maintenance activities including line moves, installations, setups, and calibrations; coordinate with OEMs for repairs.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and track metrics (MTTR, MTBF, part usage, uptime).
