Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Laurel, MD is seeking a Maintenance Lead to supervise a team of technicians responsible for equipment safety, uptime, and performance. Lead preventative maintenance programs, calibrations, and safety procedures while coordinating with production to meet scheduling needs.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive maintenance experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with GMP and SQF environments.

Qualifications

Three (3) plus years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
Five (5) plus years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong preventive maintenance development experience, familiarity with reliability centered maintenance principles preferred.
Experience using lockout tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space, etc.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise company and industry standard safety policies and procedures - OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA, etc.
Develop and maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment safety, reliability, and performance.
Provide effective day-to-day supervision, training and coaching to assigned maintenance associates to achieve uptime and production goals.
Identify skills/training needs for maintenance associates and assist in training programs (RCA, FMA, predictive and condition based maintenance).
Plan and oversee production equipment rebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, and calibrations; coordinate with OEMs on emergency repairs.
